VALLIERES TWINS

1940’S Restoration Project

The Vallieres Twins

July 27, 2022

I recently receive a package from my father in law. It’s not uncommon for him to use the post, but they are mostly for his daughter and grandson. The one that came for me contained several sleeves of negatives dating back to his birth. With only a handful and several badly damaged I went to work to recover a childhood. What came out is posted here, and was printed and toned on Hahnemuhle Photo Silk Baryta. It was a pleasure to send him a return package.

De-Welling

The De-Welling blog is a home for in process work related to my on going series “A Smaller Kind of Flood.” SKF is quickly moving towards book sequencing as the final images are edited. I plan to use this blog as a place to release images that may or may not be included in the final cut. Until something resembling a final sequence is develop I hesitate to release SKF as a body of work. Instead I’ll post images to this blog as they are processed as a way to share my current work.

Best,

Aaron
